Alongside a stellar cast of musicians from as far away as North Carolina and Kentucky, Folk Electric co-creators Scott Moore & Erica Pisaturo present the world premiere performance of Folk Electric: Wayfaring Stranger, live in concert at the acclaimed Shalin Liu Performance Center, Saturday April 19 in Rockport, MA.
In addition to Moore and Pisaturo, the band for this outing features visiting artists Tyler Ramsey (Tyler Ramsey, Band of Horses), Zachariah Hickman (Josh Ritter, Ray LaMontagne), and Dani Markham (Childish Gambino, Tune-Yards) as well as Cape Ann familiars like George Clements (The Clements Brothers, Lonely Heartstring Band) and Reneé Dupuis (What Time Is It Mr Fox?); plus Joey Thieman, Maggie Cerjan, and Lobster Cove String Quartet members Brandon White and Alex Fowler.
The 11-piece ensemble will take over Rockport’s celebrated concert hall to perform the hour-long opus, then migrate to the third floor for an afterparty set of unplugged (but just as electrifying) music, while surrounded by an array of brand new Folk Electric-inspired paintings by Matthew Billey and Loren Doucette.

folk electric co-creators Scott Moore & Erica Pisaturo will open with a dynamic set of original compositions and traditional fiddle tunes, then take the audience on a guided tour of their hour-long experimental film and album-in-progress, folk electric: wayfaring stranger. Echoes of folk, rock, and classical merge into a genre-bending, multi-sensory adventure, where characters and imagery trace an abstract narrative arc from the fiery to the woeful. Wildly creative artists Matthew Billey & Loren Doucette will paint live throughout the party, translating music and experience to canvas.
